Original Concept Art of Final Scene from Five Weeks in a Balloon (Irwin Allen Productions, 1962). Vintage original concept art from Five Weeks in a Balloon in watercolor and graphite on 4-ply artist board measuring 15" x 39-¾" indented to 12-¼" x 34-½" and glue-tipped to an archival mat measuring 16" x 40" with transparent mylar overlay. The artwork depicts a version of the final scene when the crew drops the anchor, takes refuge in the crow's nest, and jettisons the gondola to avoid crashing into the watery tumult. Actual artwork reproduced on p. 129 of "The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen" by Jeff Bond, Creature Features 2019. Excellent. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
