Original Hero Robot Arms and Retainers

Original Hero Robot Arms and Retainers
Original Hero B-9 Robot Arms and Arm Retainers from Lost in Space (CBS TV, 1965-1968). Pair of vintage original B-9 Robot arms that were attached to the original hero B-9 Robot from Season 3, presumably the last arms used from the series. Following LIS, the Robot was modified and repurposed for the Australian children's adventure series Mystery Island (CBS TV, 1977-1978). The arms were cut shorter and the entire Robot was painted white, among other alterations. Arms are crafted of latex rubber (hardened from age) and retain original internal metal rings to maintain the arms' shape. One arm measures 12" x 7; the other 10" x 7". Following Mystery Island, the arms were stripped of the white paint, but white paint remnants are still visible in areas. Included are two original 7" x 6.75" aluminum B-9 arm retainer rings that held the arms on the torso of the Robot. Also included is an extra original cut-down B-9 latex arm painted gray (without internal metal rings) which has flattened over time and measures approximately 15" x 3". All items exhibit production wear and age, including cracking and tearing in the latex. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
