Original Hero Robot Neon Mouth Unit

Original Hero B-9 Robot Neon "Mouth" Unit from Lost in Space (CBS TV, 1965-1968). Vintage original neon unit from the original hero Robot, comprised of (12) rows of "flat" horizontal neon tubing topped with flanking singular tubes with hairpin bends. On the original LIS series, the Robot's neon "mouth" illuminated in synch with his speech and was a central feature to this beloved character. Mounted on a vacuum formed plastic back plate for display. Glass tubing is seemingly intact, but untested for illumination. Except for a single exposed end of the tubing, all other ends are covered in black electrical tape. Black thread holds the tubing on back plate with single thread detached. Exhibits production wear and age. Backplate exhibits previous repair. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
