Original Concept Artwork of the Flying Sub Escaping an Erupting Volcano from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (Irwin Allen Productions, 1964-1968). Vintage original concept art from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea in tempera and gouache measuring 20" x 30" on 4-ply artist board, glue tipped to a mat measuring 22-½"x 32-¼" and hinged with transparent mylar overlay. The pre-production artwork depicts the Flying Sub escaping an erupting volcano about to overwhelm a city peninsula. Actual artwork reproduced on pp. 144-145 of "The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen" by Jeff Bond, Creature Features 2019. Very Fine+. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
